What is the EMI Calculator?

An Equated Monthly Instalment splits a loan into equal monthly payments covering both interest and principal. Early EMIs are interest-heavy; as the balance falls, the principal share rises. Understanding this schedule is the key to smart prepayment: extra payments in the first third of the tenure save multiples of what the same payments save later.
